Who's Ready to Earn Some Crop Cash?

I'm still stuffed up, but I'm feeling like I'm coming back to the land of the living!  And, I'm getting BACK into Retreat Mode!  Which means only one thing.....

CROP CASH OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!!!!

Can I get a WOOHOO!!!  (I said woohoo, NOT  "It's ABOUT TIME!")

Let's talk SNACKS!  I know that's MY favorite subject!  This is something I've done since my first retreat and it works so well, it has become a permanent part of the event.  We get such a variety this way and the homemade stuff is always so yummy!

I will have coffee and iced tea 24/7.  There will be sugar, regular creamer and sweetener available.  There is an unlimited supply of ice.  Also, just FYI, I am going to have fresh fruit brought in each morning along with breakfast juices.  And don't forget the hotel has a free continental breakfast available to us.  PLUS, in the next day or so, I will be posting our menu.  I almost have it complete and ready to publish!

For those of you who have been to one of my retreats, you already know the drill, but we have a lot of first-timers, so I'm going to explain.  (by the way this will go out in email format, too, so don't freak if you start getting overloaded with info from me.  I just want to be sure everyone gets the information... wouldn't want to leave ANYONE out!)

You can earn CROP CASH by bringing some/one of the following.  You can choose to bring something from any one category or from as many as you like.  I would REALLY appreciate knowing ahead of time what you will be bringing, so, in addition to the CROP CASH you will earn from the items themselves, you will earn $100 JUST for posting what you plan to bring here OR by sending me an email (and then I will come on here and post for you).  Does that make sense?  If not... ASK ME PLEASE!  Last year, we ran low on a couple of areas and heaven forbid, we run low on snacks!

Homemade Snack - $50
Store Bought Snack - $50
Chocolate - $10 - $50, depending on quality and quantity!
Soda/Beverages - $20 per liter

You will earn your "Food CROP CASH" when you check in at the Retreat.  Get creative!  This can be SO much fun!

Be watching for more posts coming very soon!

Oh... Happy Snowy Spring!

  3. Janis this is a great idea!

I'll bring a 2-liter of Dr. Pepper (not diet), homemade chex mix, and homemade triple chocolate chip cookies. I love to bake, need any desserts for dinner, like pies? By the way, extra crop cash for double/triple batches?

Oh, a fairly important question, does anyone out there have any FOOD ALLERGIES like nuts?

  23. The snacks sound as great as the menu! This is going to be a challenging weekend! I'm sitting here thinking as I read post-to-post that sounds good, mmm love that, ohh my favorite!
I'm going to have to work harder at getting in shape prior to this weekend! ha ha.

I'm new to all of this, but this was what I was planning on bringing:
*Litre ea of reg Coke and Dr Pepper
*Homemade Pizzella cookies (choc and vanilla)
    *Homemade choc, choc-chip, mint cookies
    *Oreos
*Tostito chips and maybe some pretzels (sorry, without the chocolate).

I was going to try to think of something healthy...but that's a real challenge for my brain after reading all these scrumptious snacks everyone else is brining. Maybe I'll think of one before then...maybe one that goes good with choc and/or caramel .

  28. Wow! It sounds like everyone about has everything covered! I was thinking of bringing that chili-cheese dip that I do every time, but I noticed someone was bringing the Rotel-cheese stuff so I'll skip it. I'll bring something from all the categories, just not sure exactly what yet! Maybe if I can take a few minutes to "compile" a bit of a menu from what everyone else has posted, I'll see a gap or two and try to fill it! :D

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bettyann, I'm jealous, I love cruising. You'll have to let me know where you went and how you liked it. You missed out on mostly cold and rainy weather here.

Janis, I just checked the cupboard and we've got a package of 70+ bowls left over from a party. They're nothing fancy, just styrofoam. Should I bring them?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Beth, that would be awesome! I'm sure we can put them to use! Especially on the snack table. Thanks!

  31. I will be bringing a homemade item, snack mix, chocolate, and soda. I am not sure what my homemade item will be since I am going to wait and see what the week is like leading up to the retreat. :)
